About Ark of Hope Child Foundation

Ark of Hope Child Foundation is a community-based organization founded on pillars of love, hope and desire for change, working to address the needs of underprivileged children in Nawangoma, Uganda.

Our Story

“Being born and brought up by two illiterate parents who were farmers, I passed through hard life during my childhood. Thankfully the Lord blessed and protected me together with my family and put me somewhere. Now I couldn’t stand seeing the little ones suffer in my society.”

Ark of Hope Child Foundation was established in Nawangoma village, Budondo Sub-County, Jinja district with a simple but powerful mission: to become a family for children without one. What started as a small home care center has grown into a beacon of hope for orphans, street kids, and vulnerable children.

We provide support to orphans, needy, street children, and vulnerable kids through education sponsorship, daily meals, healthcare, shelter, and spiritual growth. Our holistic approach addresses not just immediate needs but builds foundations for lasting change.

2019: Foundation Established - Started with a vision to help orphans and vulnerable children in Nawangoma
2020: First Children Helped - Began providing education sponsorship and daily meals
2022: Healthcare Program - Expanded to include medical support for children
2024: Growing Impact - Now serving 30+ children with education, nutrition, and care
2025: Chicken Coop Project - Working towards sustainable food source for the children

Location

We are based in Nawangoma village, Budondo Sub-County in the Jinja district of Uganda. This community serves as the foundation of our work, where we directly engage with orphans, street children, and vulnerable kids who benefit from our programs.
